I am writing this review hoping to warn future clients of what transpired during our attempt to rent a home in Harpers Ferry that was listed through Mr. Ridgeway. Over the last year the neighborhood my fiancé and I have lived in for 3 years has deteriorated rapidly. We have always kept our head down and ignored what went on around us but recently it has become so bad that my fiancé can no longer walk to and from her car without fear of being assaulted. We made the decision that it was time to move and used a realtor to assist us with locating properties within our budget and in safe neighborhoods. One unit brought to our attention was a home in Harpers Ferry WV that was listed as "For Rent" and also "For Sale". We were shown the home on 2/5 and decided on the spot we wanted to apply once we found out the unit was available to move into immediately. At roughly 3pm that day Mr. Ridgeway told our realtor that we were the only applicants. We immediately filled out the rental application and I dropped the application off at their office on 74 Somerset Blvd with all required paperwork and processing fees that afternoon. The 2 employees at the office were extremely polite and very accommodating to the situation we were in, one even explaining how they had been in the same situation and would not wish that on anyone. They informed me that they had just taken another application shortly before I arrived but that we should have an answer within a day, maybe 2. Our credit was run before I had made it home from their office. On Tuesday the majority of our references had communicated to us that they had been contacted. I received a call from our relator saying that Mr. Ridgeway's office had contacted him. He stated that the other application had better income and overall credit scores but wanted to know if we could "sweeten the pot". We agreed to an additional $50/month in rent and our realtor elected to adjust his commission to assist us in hopefully expediting our exit from these unsafe conditions. Mr. Ridgeway explained he would take our offer back to the owners and have an answer for us the following day. We did not hear from Mr. Ridgeway on 2/7 as promised. After several attempts from our realtor to reach Mr. Ridgeway the following day, he finally responded that the owners had not made a decision. Over the next 6 days we received no word on the rental. During this time our realtor made it abundantly clear of the situation we were in and how our safety was a concern with no acknowledgement from Mr. Ridgeway. The status of the listing was not changed in MRIS as the law states it must be. A call to the office by myself in frustration went unreturned. We were strung along during a time we needed answers, whether they were the ones we wanted to hear or not. While we waited to hear an answer, an answer that as of 8:02pm on 2-14 has still not come, several other places we could have moved on to were taken off the market. Because of Mr. Ridgeway's lack of caring or inability to deliver "bad" news we have stayed in an unsafe environment that much longer. I feel like I need to clarify that I am not angry. I am not angry at Mr. Ridgeway. I am not angry we did not get the home we applied for. I am disappointed that we did not get the home. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in Mr. Ridgeway and his apparent lack of caring. We are moving forward with leaving our current rental but now a week or more behind where we could be. That is another week of my fiancé having to look over her shoulder as she makes her way to and from her car. Another week of living where my car being broke into was one of over a dozen. Another week our safety is in question. As I said, I am not angry. I understand there may have been emergencies that prevented Mr. Ridgeway from calling, texting, emailing...I would welcome a call from Matt Ridgeway and would appreciate hearing his reasons for not communicating to us. If this happens I will update this post accordingly.

This school has an extremely homophobic principal,, who is a narcissistic bully. And who refuses to accept the fact that kids have the right to express them selves in who they are or in how they identify. For example she refused a boy the right to play football simply because he was gay. She also favors the cheerleading team,, they can wear skirts as short as they like yet no one else can.

I had moved across the country and wanted to close my account. The bank associate said I had to come in and close it...After finally getting her to close it I thought I was done. I had a positive balance that was mailed to me. I then moved out of the country for two years. When I came back, the account was still open and I owed THEM 170+?!?! I tried to fight it and they reported it to the credit bureau. Very frustrating.

  • It was an absolute pleasure working with Tracy and her team. Agents are a dime a dozen. Kable Team is a real gem. I have been on both sides of the closing table with Tracy Kable. I first met Tracy as the listing agent for the very first home we bought. At the time, I was impressed by her negotiating skills and professionalism. Fast forward several years and we were looking to sell our first home. After interviewing several agents, Tracy still stood out. She did her homework and took a very analytical approach to pricing. I also really appreciated her business ethics and honesty—there was no sugarcoating! The choice was obvious. We ended up with a contract on our home in FOUR days. Tracy and her team continued to guide us through the negotiation process seamlessly. Patti and Lauryn were in constant contact helping to finalize inspections, appraisals, and paperwork. Kable Team Realty was a wonderful advocate for us and was always just a text/email/phone call away. Even after we moved away, Tracy still went above and beyond to research and recommend realtors in our new location. This required quite a bit of work on her end, which goes to show her level of dedication and service. I only wish I could clone Kable Team in our new city!
